The Green Bay Packers will honor Wisconsin educators and staff during the upcoming Packers Give Back Game on August 23. The event, which takes place during the preseason matchup between Green Bay and Seattle, is part of an annual effort to support a local nonprofit by highlighting its work throughout the game.
This year marks the fifth Packers Give Back Game. In partnership with Wisconsin Cooperative Educational Service Agencies (CESAs), hundreds of educators and staff from across the state have been selected to receive complimentary transportation, food and beverage gift cards, and tickets to a special section in the south end zone. Before kickoff, several honorees will be recognized on the field.
"We're proud to honor Wisconsin educators and staff through our annual Packers Give Back Game," said Packers President/CEO Ed Policy. "We commend their unwavering dedication to student success and look forward to recognizing the critical role they play in shaping the futures of our youth and communities."
CESAs are nonprofit organizations that help school districts collaborate and improve educational outcomes by providing services and resources in their regions. There are 12 CESAs in Wisconsin, each serving a different area. CESA 7 covers the region that includes Green Bay.
"We at CESA 7 are deeply honored to be recognized during the Packers Give Back Game, representing public schools statewide," said CESA 7 Agency Administrator Aaron Malczewski. "Public education forms the bedrock of our communities, and we take immense pride in supporting educators who tirelessly prepare students for success in college, careers and life. Their dedication and hard work are fundamental to shaping a brighter future for Wisconsin's youth."
Packers Give Back is a community outreach initiative that involves various activities such as charitable donations, appearances by team members, football outreach programs, Make-A-Wish visits, and other events. The total charitable impact of these efforts exceeds $13 million annually.
