The Green Bay Packers have added cornerback Corey Ballentine to their roster and released cornerback Gregory Junior. The announcement was made by General Manager Brian Gutekunst on Monday.
Ballentine, who has previously spent time on both the Packers' practice squad and active roster from 2022 through 2024, has played in 37 regular-season games for Green Bay, including seven starts and three postseason appearances. Last season, he achieved career highs with 39 tackles, 27 solo tackles, seven passes defensed, and recorded his first career interception.
Originally drafted by the New York Giants in the sixth round of the 2019 NFL Draft out of Washburn University in Kansas, Ballentine's professional experience includes stints with the Giants (2019-20), New York Jets (2020), Detroit Lions (2021), as well as time with the Atlanta Falcons, Arizona Cardinals, and Indianapolis Colts. He will wear jersey No. 35 for the Packers.
