Fans of the Green Bay Packers will have an opportunity to celebrate the start of the football season with a series of events during "Kickoff Weekend," which is scheduled for September 6 and 7 at Lambeau Field. The weekend's activities are presented by SiriusXM, Ticketmaster, Polaris, and Verizon.

A free concert featuring American rock band The Black Crowes will take place on Saturday, September 6, beginning at 5 p.m. The event will be held outside Lambeau Field in the stadium's northwest side parking lot. Parking for those attending the concert is complimentary in Lambeau Field lots and is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Attendees are permitted to bring blankets and chairs but are not allowed to bring coolers, outside food or beverages, umbrellas, or tents. Food and drinks will be available for purchase both in the parking lot and at Titletown.

The Lambeau Field Atrium will remain open during regular hours throughout the weekend. This includes access to the Packers Pro Shop, Lambeau Field Stadium Tours, the Packers Hall of Fame, and 1919 Kitchen & Tap.

The celebration continues on Sunday with a game between the Green Bay Packers and the Detroit Lions. Kickoff is set for 3:25 p.m., with parking lots opening at 11:25 a.m. and gates opening at 1:25 p.m. Game sponsors include SiriusXM, Ticketmaster, Polaris, and Verizon. Fans attending the game will receive a "Kickoff Weekend" cooling towel upon entry.

According to information provided about The Black Crowes: "15 years after their last album of original music, the Robinson Brothers present Happiness Bastards– their 10th studio album. Some may say the project has been several tumultuous years in the making, but we argue it's arriving at just the right time. Call it brotherly love or music destiny that brought them back together, the highly anticipated record consecrating the reunion of this legendary band just may be the thing that saves rock & roll. In a time where the art form is buried beneath the corporate sheen of its successors, The Black Crowes are biting back with the angst of words left unsaid penned on paper and electrified by guitar strings, revealing stripped, bare-boned rock & roll. No gloss, no glitter, just rhythm and blues at its very best – gritty, loud, and in your face."

The band's recent history includes reuniting in 2019 after several years apart and performing over 150 shows across 20 countries as part of their tour celebrating Shake Your Money Maker’s anniversary. After returning from touring, members Chris Robinson and Rich Robinson along with bassist Sven Pipien recorded new material with producer Jay Joyce in early 2023.
