The Green Bay Packers have announced the locations for their upcoming "Packers Huddle" fan events in Europe this fall. These gatherings are scheduled to take place in Dublin, London, and Berlin, giving fans outside the United States an opportunity to engage with the team and experience aspects of American football culture.

Though the Packers will not be playing games overseas this year, supporters in Ireland, the U.K., and Germany can participate in events timed to coincide with international NFL games hosted in each city. Each Saturday Huddle event will occur before an NFL game on Sunday in that location. The gatherings will include chances for attendees to meet former Packers players, win prizes, sample foods inspired by traditional Packers tailgates, and enjoy live entertainment such as music, games, and interviews.

The first event is set for September 27 at Sinnotts Bar in Dublin from 6 to 9:30 p.m. The London Huddle will be held October 11 at Redwood near London Bridge Station during the same evening hours. In Berlin, festivities will span two days starting November 8 at LVL World of Gaming from 5 to 9 p.m., featuring a Madden Tournament, quiz show with prizes, a pop-up retail store, and a documentary screening about Packers history. On November 9, there will be a tailgate party at BRLO Charlottenburg from 9 a.m. to noon with outdoor activities including cornhole and jenga as well as face painting and a special brunch menu.

Attendance at all events is free; food and beverages can be purchased onsite. Fans are encouraged to register ahead of time by following RSVP links that will be posted on the Packers' social media channels.

In April, the Green Bay Packers were awarded marketing rights in Ireland, the United Kingdom, and Germany through the NFL's Global Markets Program (https://nflcommunications.com/Pages/NFL-Announces-Expansion-of-Global-Markets-Program.aspx). This program allows teams to conduct specialized international marketing efforts such as hosting local events and creating region-specific digital content. The Packers have also launched a German-language Instagram account aimed at better connecting with fans in Germany.

The Global Markets Program began in 2022 as part of an initiative by the NFL to help teams grow their brands internationally over at least five-year terms (https://operations.nfl.com/grow-the-game/international/global-markets-program/). Teams apply annually for market rights through proposals reviewed by the league’s International Committee.

Established in 1919, the Green Bay Packers are known for being the only community-owned team among major U.S. professional sports organizations. Over half a million fans own shares of the club. Despite being based in Green Bay—one of the smallest cities represented in any major U.S. sports league—the franchise has won thirteen championships including four Super Bowls (https://www.packers.com/history/record-book/championships). Lambeau Field has been sold out since 1960 and is recognized for its unique gameday atmosphere.

Fans across Wisconsin identify strongly with their team’s traditions—including pregame tailgate parties—and refer to themselves as "Cheeseheads," referencing both state heritage and iconic foam hats worn at games (https://www.packers.com/fans/cheesehead-history).
