The Green Bay Packers have made changes to their practice squad, signing running back Pierre Strong Jr. and releasing running back Israel Abanikanda. The announcement was made Monday by General Manager Brian Gutekunst.

Strong, who is 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs 207 pounds, enters his fourth year in the NFL. He was originally selected in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL Draft by the New England Patriots. Over his career, Strong has played in 46 games with one start for both the Patriots and the Cleveland Browns from 2022 to 2024. His statistics include 99 carries for 499 yards, averaging five yards per carry, and two touchdowns. Additionally, he has caught 26 passes for a total of 193 yards and returned 24 kickoffs for 570 yards, with his longest return being 36 yards. Strong will wear jersey number 22 with the Packers.
