The Green Bay Packers have reached a contract extension with wide receiver Christian Watson, according to an announcement from General Manager Brian Gutekunst on Wednesday.

Watson was drafted by the Packers in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft, with the 34th overall pick. In his first three seasons, he has played in 38 games and started 35 times. He has also appeared in two postseason games. Over that span, Watson has recorded 98 receptions for 1,653 yards and 14 touchdowns. He has also contributed as a rusher, gaining 114 yards and scoring two touchdowns on 15 carries.

Since entering the league in 2022, Watson ranks third among players with at least 75 receptions for average yards per catch at 16.9. Last season, he ranked second in the league in yards per catch among players with at least 25 receptions, averaging 21.4 yards per catch—the highest by a Packers player meeting that threshold since James Lofton's average of 22.0 yards in 1984. Of his career catches, Watson has converted 69 into first downs, which is tied for seventh best in the NFL since 2022 among receivers with at least 75 receptions.
