The Green Bay Packers have announced an invitation for Wisconsin middle school students to participate in the Character Playbook Community Impact Project. Now in its sixth year, the program encourages student groups to develop and carry out service projects that benefit their schools, neighborhoods, or broader communities.
Under the supervision of a Wisconsin school or nonprofit organization, student groups are asked to design and implement projects tailored to local needs. Once proposals are submitted, a selection of applicants will be chosen to present their ideas to representatives from the Green Bay Packers and Character Playbook.
Approved proposals will receive grants of up to $500, funded by the NFL Volunteerism Grant, to support project implementation. Suggested initiatives include refurbishing common areas, creating welcome kits for refugee or immigrant families, organizing neighborhood beautification efforts, establishing community gardens with produce donations to food banks, or developing online programs for engagement with younger students or senior centers.
Each participating school or nonprofit must appoint a project supervisor who will oversee the students' work and act as the main contact with the Packers.
Student groups interested in applying should submit their proposals online by October 24 at packers.formstack.com/forms/character_playbook_community_impact_grant_application_2025. Selected groups will present their projects between November 19 and 21. Grant recipients will be notified by December 1, and all projects should be completed by the end of the academic year.
