National Small Business Week is set to take place from April 28th to May 4th, 2024, and the City of Green Bay is gearing up to celebrate the nearly 10,000 small businesses that play a vital role in the local economy.

As part of the festivities, the City of Green Bay has organized several events throughout Small Business Week. One of the highlights includes a Lunch & Learn event in Spanish on Tuesday, April 30th. The program, titled “Sin Credito o Mal Credito, No Hay Problema – No Credit, Bad Credit, No Problem,” will focus on a small business funding program in partnership with WWBIC. Mayor Eric Genrich expressed excitement about these initiatives, stating, "Our local businesses are the backbone of our community, and by coming together to meet them where they are and offer our support, we can contribute to their success and enhance the overall vitality and prosperity of the area."

Additionally, the City of Green Bay will host its 4th Annual Business Walk on Wednesday, May 1st, 2024. This event will bring together community volunteers to engage with small business owners, gather feedback, and explore ways to better support them. Volunteers will have the opportunity to build relationships, identify opportunities for growth, and provide resources to benefit local businesses within the Military Avenue Corridor.

Mayor Genrich emphasized the importance of the Business Walk, stating, "Our local businesses are the backbone of our community, and by coming together to meet them where they are and offer our support, we can contribute to their success and enhance the overall vitality and prosperity of the area."

Business owners in Green Bay are encouraged to participate in the Business Walk by visiting the City of Green Bay's website and filling out the online survey, available in English, Spanish, and Hmong. Volunteers interested in participating in the Business Walk can register in advance through the City's website or by contacting Wendy Townsend, Project and Program Manager.
