Aaron Rodgers recently addressed criticism from some fans that doubted his commitment to the Packers and to the game.
Packer News reported that the doubts came following Rodgers' worst quarterback rating of his career in Week 1 of the season and some candid comments he made during a news conference.
Following the Packers thrilling win on Sunday, Sept. 26, Rodgers told those who were doubting his love and commitment to the game in his 17th season that he is still just as devoted to the team as ever, according to Packer News.
Rodgers received the lowest QB rating of his career in September, but has pushed past it to lead the Packers to wins in two out of three season games.
"Well, it’s a rough night, I guess, for some of those 'he doesn’t care' campers," Rodgers said on The Pat McAfee Show on Sept. 28, according to Packer News. "I love the game, I love competing. There's nothing like it. There's nothing like having the ball in your hands with a chance to win the game, late in the game. That's what we live for. That’s what we dream about. We don’t dream about kneel downs at the end of games. We got to go down and put the ball in position to either win it with a field goal or win it with a touchdown. That's what we dream about."
During Sept. 26's game against the San Francisco 49ers, when the Packers were trailing 28-27 and with 37 seconds left, Rodgers led a 42-yard drive to set up a game-clinching 51-yard field goal from Mason Crosby in the final 37 seconds of the game.
