City of Green Bay issued the following announcement on Oct. 29
The Green Bay Public Works Department is announcing the temporary closure of the Dousman Street and Gray Street intersection for the placement of new concrete. The closure is expected to last one week. The overall project completion is expected by Thanksgiving. The project includes reconstructing pavement and utilities along Gray Street from Dousman Street to Mather Street.
Traffic Impacts
The Dousman Street & Gray Street intersection will be closed to traffic.
Closed starting at 6:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 3.
Open scheduled for the end of the day on Tuesday, November 9.
Detour
Dousman Street traffic will be detoured to North Ashland Avenue to West Walnut Street to Shawano Avenue to North Oneida Street. No detour will be posted for Gray Street. Southbound traffic can use Mather Street to bypass the intersection closure. Northbound traffic should stay on Shawano Avenue.
Access to residences will be maintained. All closures, detours, and work operations are weather dependent and subject to change. Motorists should anticipate backups, use caution while driving through the work zone, and are encouraged to find alternate routes.
