Green Bay Packers star quarterback Aaron Rodgers is taking a drubbing after missing his team’s 13-7 loss at Kansas City because of a positive COVID-19 test.

“What so many have never understood about this whole thing: You don’t just get vaccinated for yourself,” former GOP Congressman Joe Walsh posted on Twitter. “You also get vaccinated for those around you. For everyone you come into contact with. Aaron Rodgers never got this. And because he never got it, he let his entire team down.”

With Rodgers sidelined, second-year signal-caller Jordan Love struggled mightily, completing just over half his passes with an interception. Coach Matt LaFleur did all he could to cover for his player.

"This one falls on me, squarely," he told ESPN. "Certainly, for us to be 2-for-12 on third down, obviously didn't have a good enough plan for some of the zero pressures that they brought on us.”

None of that compares to the onslaught of criticism Rodgers has faced since admitting he is unvaccinated against the virus after telling reporters back in August that he was “immunized.”

During a recent appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show,” Rodgers argued that he was "in the crosshairs of the woke mob right now" over his vaccination status and that the media was on a "witch hunt."

Rodgers also insisted he did not get vaccinated because he has an allergy to an ingredient in the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines and was leery of possible side effects linked to the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

Since testing positive for the virus, rural physician George Fareed recently tweeted “Aaron Rodgers says he’s taken ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine since testing positive for COVID-19.”

While Rodgers claims he has been following NFL COVID-19 guidelines for unvaccinated players, including daily testing and the wearing of protective masks indoors, the league is reported to be probing how strictly the protocols have been implemented because Rodgers has been spotted not wearing a mask.

If any violations are uncovered, both Rodgers and the team could face fines that could be sizable.
