The COVID-19 surge has torn the Packers locker room apart, and coach Matt LaFleur is finding a way to deal with the toll on the team’s roster.
“Aaron Rodgers leads the MVP odds, Matt LaFleur leads the COY odds and Packers and Chiefs are favorites to win the Super Bowl. It has been a WILD ride over the last 12 months to get back to basically the same place we were a year ago (only this time MLF is getting his propers),” tweeted Peter Bukowski.
The Packers are up to 12 players sidelined for COVID-19 this week, with LaFleur looking to add more restrictions to slow down and stop the damage to the team roster.
Commentators are also concerned about the team’s success going into the playoffs because of the high amount of yards the Packers have allowed other teams on their first down and how that will likely hurt them when playoffs get tense.
Packers also face the problem of having both Aaron Rodgers and Jordan Love on their roster, two good QB’s, and how to juggle them both in the coming season. Regardless, the Packers are still a very talented and dominant team that is expected to do very well this season.
