The Green Bay Packers have reached an agreement with tight end John FitzPatrick to continue his tenure with the team. General Manager Brian Gutekunst announced the decision on Monday.
FitzPatrick, who stands at 6 feet 7 inches and weighs 262 pounds, is entering his fourth year in the NFL. He joined the Packers' active roster from the Atlanta Falcons' practice squad on October 11, 2024, and contributed in nine regular-season games and a postseason matchup during the previous season. FitzPatrick's journey in the professional league began when he was picked by the Falcons in the sixth round of the 2022 NFL Draft as the 213th overall choice. During his time with Atlanta, FitzPatrick participated in nine games throughout 2023, where he made one catch for 12 yards.
In his collegiate career at the University of Georgia, FitzPatrick showcased his skills in 38 games, starting 13 of them. His college achievements include 17 receptions for 200 yards, with an average of 11.8 yards per catch, and one touchdown. FitzPatrick is set to wear jersey number 86 for the Packers as he prepares for the upcoming season.
