The Green Bay women's basketball team recently cancelled their Jan. 14 and Jan. 16 games against Cleveland State and Fort Wayne respectively due to positive COVID-19 results from team members, according to We Are Green Bay News.

The cancellations come after the men’s team had come off a streak of COVID-related cancellations as well.

"Fans who purchased single-game tickets for this game can be refunded," the university wrote in a press release, according to We Are Green Bay News. "Season ticket holders will have the option to exchange their tickets for a future regular season game this season or can be refunded upon request."

Seehafer News reported that the games against Cleveland state and Purdue Fort Wayne were declared no contests due to the extraordinary circumstances of the positive cases among vaccinated student-athletes.

"We feel it is important to explore all options for playing as many games as possible for you and for our student-athletes," Coach Kevin Borseth said in a release posted to Twitter. "In the meantime, thank you for your patience and understanding as we work through this."

The team had at-home games scheduled for Jan. 21 and Jan. 23 before hitting the road for more games.
