Green Bay Packers star quarterback Aaron Rodgers has put all the rumors and speculation to rest, inking an extension set to pay him upwards of $150 million over the next three seasons.

The new deal is primed to keep Rodgers in the only NFL home he has known since the Packers snared him with the 24th pick in the 2005 Draft. The contract is also reported to include two voidable years aimed at giving the team greater flexibility in dealing with the league salary cap.

"We are very pleased to be able to come to an agreement with Aaron that keeps him in Green Bay," Packers General Manager Brian Gutekunst said in making the signing official, a report on ESPN.com said this week. "His play on the field and leadership in our locker room remain vital in our pursuit of another Super Bowl title. The agreement also allows us to maintain and enhance what we feel is already a very competitive roster."

With four league MVP awards and the franchise record for career touchdown passes (449) now under his belt, Rodgers' cap charge was scheduled to be $46.66 million this season, which was his final year under contract; a report on SI.com said this week. Under the terms of the new deal, Rodger's new cap hits are $28.5 million in 2022, $31.6 million in 2023 and $40.7 million in 2024, per NFL Network's Mike Garafolo.
