On August 8, 2023, Rep. Gallagher joined members of the Krakow community to celebrate the renaming of the Krakow Post Office in honor of its longest-serving postmaster, Romuald 'Bud' Brzezinski. Bud was a lifelong resident of Krakow and had a distinguished career with the U.S. Postal Service. In 1998, Bud was recognized as Wisconsin's longest actively serving postmaster, and in 1999, he retired after 46 years with the U.S. Postal Service.

“In his four decades as Postmaster of the Krakow Post Office, Bud demonstrated an unrivaled commitment to Krakow and established himself as a fixture of his community. It’s only fitting for the place he dedicated so much of his time to bear his name.” said Rep. Gallagher. “I hope this is a small way to honor his legacy and ensure that the service of Wisconsin’s longest-serving Postmaster is not forgotten.”

Outside of work, Brzezinski was also an involved member of the Krakow community. He was secretary of the Krakow Sportsmen Club for 15 years, a member of St. Casimir Parish for over 20 years, bowled for three different teams in a Wednesday night bowling league, and served as an election official for the Town of Angelica. He passed away on June 26, 2020, at the age of 90.
