Residents of Green Bay are being called upon to participate in the Go Big Green Bay Community Visioning Workshop, where they can share their big ideas and visions for the future of the city. The workshop, scheduled for Wednesday, April 24th, from 6 to 8 pm at Titletown Brewing Company, aims to gather community input for the Green Bay 2050 Comprehensive Plan.
According to the organizers, the workshop will provide an opportunity for residents to "put pen to paper, meet your neighbors, and share your big ideas and vision for the future of Green Bay." Participants will collaborate in groups to create maps of Green Bay, identifying planning priorities, areas for future development, and proposing projects and improvements. All community members are encouraged to attend, as their input is deemed critical to the planning process.
"Let’s envision our city’s future. Let’s get involved. Let’s spread the word. Let’s Go Big, Green Bay!" the organizers urge as they seek to engage the community in shaping the future of the city. Spanish interpretation services will be available at the workshop to ensure inclusivity and participation from all residents.
The Green Bay 2050 Comprehensive Plan is described as a community vision that will guide the city for the next 10-15 years, directing future growth and development. The plan will result from robust engagement and analysis, leading to policies and strategies that will help city leaders make thoughtful decisions for the community.
David Buck, AICP, Principal Planner at the City of Green Bay, extended an invitation to all residents, stating, "Community input is critical to the planning process, and all are welcome!" For those interested in learning more about the initiative or ways to get involved, further information is available on the Go Big Green Bay website.
As Green Bay looks towards the future, residents are encouraged to participate in shaping the city's development and ensuring a high quality of life for generations to come.
