Green Bay announces bulk item collection week for September

During the week of September 16-20, 2024, City of Green Bay residents may place up to two cubic yards (6 feet x 3 feet x 3 feet) of bulk household items next to their trash carts for free curbside collection. Bulk household items include sofas, couches, loveseats, tables, chairs, desks, mattresses, box springs, beds, entertainment centers, grills, ladders, mowers, exercise equipment, lawn/patio furniture, cribs, swing sets, bikes, and lawn and holiday display items. These items must be placed at the curb by 6 a.m. on the collection day.

Any excess of two cubic yards of bulk household items placed next to the cart for collection will be picked up and charged accordingly.

The following items will not be collected:

- Construction waste

- Remodeling waste

- Demolition waste

- Electronics

- Appliances

- Move-out debris

If any of these items are left at the curb, they will be picked up and charged accordingly.

City of Green Bay residents may bring bulk household items to the drop-off sites listed below. Construction waste, remodeling waste, demolition waste, household trash move-out debris and recycling items are not allowed at these locations. Residents should be prepared to show their driver's license or proof of residency in the city.

East Side Location:

1820 Mills Street,

Green Bay WI 54302,

(Entrance on Deckner Ave.)

West Side Location:

519 S. Oneida Street,

Green Bay WI 54303,

(Entrance on Redwood Dr. off W. Mason St.)

Hours of Operation:

Monday–Thursday: 7 a.m.–3 p.m.

Friday: 7 a.m.–6 p.m.

2nd & 3rd Saturday of each month: 7 a.m.–12 p.m.

Residents also have the option to take their waste—including construction waste—to the Brown County Transfer Station located at 3734 W. Mason Street. Dumping fees will apply and high-visibility safety vests or shirts may be required. For hours and current pricing visit www.browncountyrecycling.org.
