The Green Bay Packers have signed running back Chris Brooks to their practice squad. General Manager Brian Gutekunst announced the transaction on Tuesday.

Brooks, standing at 6-foot-1 and weighing 219 pounds, is a second-year player from Brigham Young University (BYU). He was initially signed by the Miami Dolphins as an undrafted free agent on May 12, 2023. During his rookie season with the Dolphins, he participated in nine games, recording 19 carries for 106 yards, averaging 5.6 yards per carry. Additionally, he appeared in a postseason game.

Before his time at BYU in 2022, Brooks spent four years at the University of California-Berkeley from 2018 to 2021. At BYU, he registered 130 carries for 817 yards and six touchdowns, achieving an average of 6.3 yards per carry. This rushing average ranked fourth in single-season school history.

Brooks will wear jersey number 30 for the Packers.
