The Green Bay Packers have announced ten finalists for the 27th member of their FAN Hall of Fame, with voting now open to fans. The Packers, known as the first professional football team to establish a hall of fame, created the FAN Hall of Fame in 1998 to honor devoted and long-time supporters.
Fans were invited to submit nominations either for themselves or others through an essay of up to 500 words, along with a photo explaining why the nominee deserves recognition. From these submissions, a selection committee chose ten finalists:
- John Brosig from Pound, Wisconsin
- Regan Buchholz from Bonduel, Wisconsin
- Lori Coonen from Combined Locks, Wisconsin
- Paul Gasper from Onalaska, Wisconsin
- Ken Groholski from Manawa, Wisconsin
- Tammy Hedges from Weston, Florida
- Michael Rossi from Hackettstown, New Jersey
- Scott Schwartz from Pulaski, Wisconsin
- Valerie Smick from Yorkville, Illinois
- Bill Port from New Berlin, Wisconsin
Fans can read about each finalist and cast their votes online at packers.com/fhof. The decision will be made by both fans and the Packers' selection committee. Voting closes at 11:59 p.m. on January 31, 2025. Participants in the voting process will be entered into a random drawing for Packers merchandise.
The selected honoree will be announced in late February 2025 and will receive several rewards including four club seats to a home game in 2025, sideline passes for pre-game activities, passes to the Packers Hall of Fame, a custom jersey, a $500 gift certificate to the Packers Pro Shop, and a one-year subscription to PackersNews.com. Additionally, their name will be added to the list of honorees in the Packers Hall of Fame.
