The City of Green Bay, in collaboration with the Greater Green Bay YMCA, is set to host Field Fest at Historic City Stadium. This free event, designed for families, will mark the beginning of the 2025 Draft weekend at a stadium that was once home to the Green Bay Packers from 1925 to 1956.
James Andersen, Deputy Director of Green Bay Parks, Recreation & Forestry, expressed enthusiasm about the event: “The City of Green Bay is excited to collaborate with the Green Bay YMCA to provide an event which will foster wellness and offer all participants an opportunity to show off their skills.” He added that it aims to bring people together and celebrate community spirit as they welcome visitors.
Field Fest will feature eight football-themed stations such as a 40-yard Dash, Catch Competition, and QB Challenge. Participants can also enjoy giveaways and food. Jamie Hanner, Interim CEO of the Greater Green Bay YMCA, remarked on the partnership: “This partnership with the City of Green Bay is a tremendous opportunity to showcase the power of community.” She emphasized the YMCA's long-standing role in promoting health and connection.
Sponsorship opportunities are available for those interested. The event is part of Touchdown Downtown, a four-day series organized by local entities including Downtown Green Bay Inc and On Broadway Inc. Further details can be found online.
