The Bellin Surgery & Specialty Center (SSC) celebrated its first anniversary on March 4, 2025. Since its opening in March 2024, the center has been offering a wide range of services aimed at improving patient access and experience.
“It’s amazing to see the growth and accomplishments of both the center and the care teams in the last year,” stated Jen Macdonald, Vice President of Specialty Service Lines at Emplify Health by Bellin. She added that over the past year, they have expanded their services to enhance convenience for patients.
Initially, SSC provided various services including Operating Room Suites, Therapy, Orthopedics, Rheumatology, Podiatry, Imaging, Pharmacy, Home Care Equipment, Surgery Preparation, Lab Services, and Percy’s Perks café. Later in 2024, Asthma & Allergy services were introduced along with ENT and Audiology services. The center also unveiled a sculpture titled “Healing Hands” dedicated to Dr. Mark Reinke from Bellin Health.
In January 2025, SSC began offering Gastroenterology and Neuropsychology services. Plans for further expansion in 2025 include enhanced offerings in Asthma & Allergy, Audiology, Digestive Health, ENT, and Neuropsychiatry to provide better care for communities in Northeast Wisconsin.
The center comprises over 20 departments and has performed more than 2,100 surgeries and procedures since its inception. “The Surgery & Specialty Center has become such a great extension of our health system,” said Macdonald. “We look forward to more collaboration and ease of access for patients in and around our region.”
