Cate Zeuske, a former public servant and Deputy Secretary, emphasized the need for a Wisconsin Supreme Court justice with "high integrity," rather than one who attempts to "rewrite laws from the bench." Zeuske made these remarks to the Green Bay Reporter on March 10.

"On April 1st, every Wisconsin voter needs to recognize the statewide impact the election will have for many years to come," said Zeuske, Green Bay, WI resident. "The decisions by the Majority of the State's 7 Supreme Court Justices affect every citizen in our state and usually are final, few are accepted to review by the US Supreme Court. We need Justices with high integrity and strong moral values who express their commitment to interpreting the constitutionality of the laws, not trying to rewrite the laws from the bench."

The upcoming Wisconsin Supreme Court election, scheduled for April 1, 2025, will decide the successor to retiring liberal Justice Ann Walsh Bradley. According to Ballotpedia, Susan Crawford, currently serving as a Dane County Circuit Court judge, is running against Brad Schimel, a Waukesha County Circuit Court judge and former Republican attorney general of Wisconsin.

According to Wisconsin Watch, Crawford was one of the attorneys challenging Wisconsin's 2011 Voter ID law, which mandates voters present identification at polling stations. She described this legislation as "draconian" in 2018.

Crawford participated in a briefing with Democratic donors organized by Focus for Democracy. Racine County Eye reported that this event was described as an opportunity to potentially influence two additional House seats. Brian Schimming, Chairman of the Wisconsin Republican Party, commented on Crawford's appeal to out-of-state donors: "In an appeal to entice out-of-state billionaires, Susan Crawford said the quiet part out loud: she is begging to be bought and paid for."

Wisconsin's former Governor Scott Walker noted that George Soros is contributing to Crawford's campaign. Walker said: "George Soros is pulling millions into the WI Supreme Court race because a 4-3 liberal majority will redraw Congressional districts to squeeze out 2 GOP seats."

The Schimel campaign further criticized Crawford's record and support from Soros. According to the Maciver Institute, they said: "It is no surprise why George Soros would back a candidate like Susan Crawford; she has spent her entire career implementing a deeply dangerous and radical agenda. From releasing violent criminals, attempting to abolish voter ID, and her troubling history of coddling sex predators, Susan Crawford is George Soros’ ideal investment." They added that on Wisconsin’s Supreme Court, "Susan Crawford has an agenda and Soros is buying into it."
