Green Bay Metro Transit has announced several service adjustments in preparation for the upcoming NFL Draft, which will take place on April 24, 25, and 26. These changes aim to ensure a smooth experience for attendees traveling to and from the event.
A special route will be introduced between Downtown Green Bay and the Titletown area. This service is designed to provide direct transportation, allowing easy access to all event activities. The route will operate frequently to manage the expected high volume of passengers.
Routes 8 and 9 will undergo modifications during the event. Route 8 will have detours from April 24-26, with additional changes from April 13-23 and April 28 to May 2. Route 9's detour is scheduled for April 22-28.
The GBM On Demand service will continue its regular schedule but may face limitations due to street closures affecting drop-off or pickup locations.
To support attendee travel, fares on both the Downtown to Titletown route and GBM On Demand will be waived during All Zone times.
Passengers are advised that street closures could impact their travel plans. Green Bay Metro Transit recommends using their online Bus Tracker for real-time updates on any service changes.
"At Green Bay Metro Transit, safety is our top priority," stated Patty Kiewiz, Transit Director. "We encourage all passengers to be patient and flexible during this time."
