The Green Bay Packers have appointed Kevin Manara as their new general counsel. This decision was made public on Friday by Ed Policy, the Chief Operating Officer and incoming President/CEO of the team.

"We are excited to welcome Kevin to Green Bay," expressed Policy. "He brings a wealth of experience at both the league and team level that will be invaluable to the Packers and our overall operations. We look forward to his leadership contributions as a member of our Senior Staff."

Manara has joined the Packers from the Arizona Cardinals, where he has been the General Counsel since July 2023. Prior to that, he served as Senior Vice President & General Counsel for the Las Vegas Raiders. His duties encompassed legal advice and strategic guidance concerning ownership, executives, and the football staff, as well as overseeing litigation, employment, football operations, and corporate matters.

Before joining team management, Manara held the position of Vice President of Labor Relations & Policy for the National Football League from 2008 to 2021. His responsibilities included representing the NFL Management Council and facilitating the administration and enforcement of the NFL Collective Bargaining Agreement. He was integral to the 2011 and 2020 CBA negotiations with the NFL Players Association. Additionally, Manara played a key role in managing policies related to substance abuse and performance-enhancing substances, CBA for game officials, and the NFL Personal Conduct Policy.

In his earlier career, Manara was an associate in the labor & employment department at Proskauer and was involved in licensing and marketing for the National Basketball Association.

Manara holds a bachelor's degree in international relations from Johns Hopkins University, where he was also part of the football team, and a law degree with honors from New York Law School. Together with his wife Kathy, they have three children: Kate, Jack, and Ryan.
