Green Bay, WI - With the NFL Draft attracting national attention to Green Bay, the city is preparing to host a three-day Tailgate Party on Military Avenue, welcoming families, food enthusiasts, and football fans. The event, scheduled from Thursday, April 24, through Saturday, April 26, aims to offer visitors a uniquely Wisconsin experience near the intersection of Military Avenue and Lombardi Avenue, just a short distance from the Draft Campus entrance.
The daily schedule, starting at 9:00 AM, includes various activities and entertainment. Visitors can indulge in an all-day Wisconsin-style breakfast, explore a range of food trucks, and enjoy the beer and beverage tent. Live performances and family-oriented music will be featured, along with a mini market highlighting local vendors and discovering hidden treasures from the Military Avenue Business District.
The Tailgate Party is crafted to prioritize family engagement, featuring affordable pricing and activities suitable for all ages. Opportunities to shop, eat, and experience Green Bay culture are abundant. Parking facilities are provided at Military Times Square, formerly known as the Green Bay Nursery. The “Get Around Green Bay” table in the Tailgate Tent will offer guidance to visitors.
Scott Batterham, co-owner of Book Stop on Military Avenue and an event organizer, emphasized the event's inclusive nature, stating, “We want a family to be able to come in and enjoy the day and enjoy their stay here in Green Bay. It’s going to be a tailgate party, just like you’d find on Packer gamedays, but with even more for everyone to enjoy.”
Military Avenue, known as the gateway to the Titletown District, boasts a mix of well-known retailers, unique boutiques, and family-owned restaurants, offering something for everyone, whether in search of great deals, local flavors, or simply a place to join in the Draft excitement.
