Green Bay, Wis. — Green Bay has been recognized as one of Livability.com’s 2025 Top 100 Best Places to Live in the United States. This recognition highlights Green Bay’s quality of life, vibrant community, and affordability. This comes as the city prepares to welcome visitors for the NFL Draft, drawing national attention.
Livability.com evaluates small- to mid-sized cities, considering data across categories such as economy, housing, amenities, and safety, targeting cities with populations between 75,000 and 500,000 and median home values under $500,000.
Green Bay is noted for its community bonds, family-friendly environment, and diverse amenities like the riverfront boardwalk, arts scene, and affordable housing, which is almost 20% below the national average. The job market in Green Bay is robust, with employers in sectors such as manufacturing, healthcare, and education, and the median household income stands at $83,328.
Outdoor activities are available year-round, from festivals and sports to parks. Education is a strong focus, facilitated by its large school district and proximity to the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. The city holds a unique pride in its relationship with the Green Bay Packers, the sole NFL team owned by its fans.
