On June 2, 2025, Rep. Wied emphasized the urgency for Congress to take action regarding budgetary measures. He stated, "Congress needs to act NOW to codify DOGE cuts and continue to eliminate wasteful federal spending." This call reflects his stance on reducing federal expenditures.

Later that day, he expressed his support for local law enforcement in Wisconsin's 8th Congressional District.
