The Green Bay Packers have made roster changes by signing wide receiver Sam Brown Jr. and waiving/injuring defensive lineman Jeremiah Martin. The announcement was made on Thursday by the team's General Manager, Brian Gutekunst.
Sam Brown Jr., who stands 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighs 200 pounds, joins the Packers as an undrafted rookie free agent. His college football career includes playing for West Virginia University from 2020 to 2021, the University of Houston from 2022 to 2023, and the University of Miami in Florida in 2024. Earlier this month, he participated in the Miami Dolphins' rookie camp.
During his collegiate career, Brown appeared in a total of 43 games with 28 starts. He recorded 149 receptions for a total of 1,903 yards, averaging 12.8 yards per reception, and scored nine touchdowns. In the year 2023, he achieved All-Big 12 honorable mention status after setting personal records with starts in eleven games, making sixty-two receptions and accumulating eight hundred fifteen receiving yards.
Brown will be wearing jersey number seventeen for the Green Bay Packers.
