Rep. Tony Wied, an active voice on social media, recently shared his thoughts and condolences in a series of tweets. These posts reflect his views on current political leadership and express personal sentiments on the passing of a notable figure.

On June 6, 2025, Rep. Wied expressed support for President Trump's administration, stating that "In less than 5 months, President Trump has put our country back on the right track. This is the result of putting AMERICA FIRST! Promises made, promises kept."

Later that day, he offered condolences to the family of Gerald "Jerry" Danforth and acknowledged his contributions. Wied tweeted at 15:41 UTC that "Gerald 'Jerry' Danforth's life was defined by service, leadership, and love. His legacy will endure in the lives he touched, the institutions he shaped, and the Nation he served so faithfully. I offer my deepest condolences to his family and the entire Oneida Nation."

Finally, at 18:05 UTC on June 6th, Wied shared his legislative activities for the week. He noted "This week, I was proud to vote for several pieces of legislation that codify some of President Trump's executive orders and support small businesses around the country!"

Gerald "Jerry" Danforth was a respected leader within the Oneida Nation who passed away recently.
