The Green Bay Packers have announced the signing of defensive lineman Cameron Young. This development was confirmed on Tuesday by General Manager Brian Gutekunst.
Cameron Young, who stands at 6 feet 3 inches and weighs 304 pounds, is entering his third year in the NFL. He was initially drafted by the Seattle Seahawks as the 123rd overall pick in the fourth round of the 2023 NFL Draft. During his tenure with the Seahawks, Young participated in 17 games and made one start over two seasons. His contributions included recording 18 tackles, with 10 being solo efforts, a tackle for a loss, a quarterback hit, and a pass defensed.
Before joining the NFL, Young played college football at Mississippi State. Over five seasons from 2018 to 2022, he started in 25 out of 42 games for the Bulldogs. His college career stats include accumulating 107 tackles, with nine being for a loss and two sacks.
Cameron Young will don jersey number 78 as he joins the Packers' roster.
