The Green Bay Packers Foundation has allocated $1.75 million in impact grants to 11 nonprofit organizations across Brown, Dane, and Milwaukee counties. This initiative is part of the Impact Grant Program that began in 2013, aimed at supporting community-serving organizations.

In a recent announcement, it was detailed that seven organizations in Brown County received a total of $1.1 million, one organization in Dane County was awarded $100,000, and three groups in Milwaukee County were granted $550,000 collectively. The grant recipients gathered at Lambeau Field for a luncheon to celebrate the awards.

"The Packers Foundation is proud to award grants to 11 Wisconsin organizations making profound impacts in the communities they serve," stated Mark Murphy, Packers President/CEO. "We are pleased to recognize their commitment to enhancing lives and support the meaningful work they carry out daily."

The funds will be distributed among various nonprofits for specific projects:

- Aspiro Inc., located in Brown County, will use its grant for modernizing its Dousman Street campus.

- Bellin College's campaign aims to expand education access by removing financial barriers.

- The Children's Museum of Green Bay plans an expansion into a larger facility with its funding.

- CollegeReady will enhance college readiness services for underrepresented youth.

- Jackie Nitschke Center Inc. intends to renovate Glas Haus into a Women's Residential Center.

- New Community Shelter Inc. will construct permanent supportive housing.

- Wello plans on using its grant for community farming initiatives through mobile resources.

In Dane County, the Wisconsin Historical Foundation will apply its grant towards developing a new history center.

Milwaukee-based organizations include Junior Achievement of Wisconsin – Metro Milwaukee focusing on high school re-engineering programs; Neu-Life Community Development Inc., which aims at helping youth transition into adulthood; and The Salvation Army of Milwaukee working on constructing a homeless shelter named The Center of Hope.

Since inception in 2013, the Impact Grant Program has disbursed $11.9 million targeting needs such as education and homelessness. Overall contributions from the Packers Foundation have exceeded $28 million since 1986 as part of their broader community outreach effort known as Green Bay Packers Give Back.
