Rep. Tony Wied, a U.S. Representative from Wisconsin who won his seat in 2024 by defeating Kristin Lyerly, has recently posted several statements on social media regarding federal law enforcement, tax policy, and legislative achievements.

On August 4, 2025, Wied wrote: "We must stop rewarding these jurisdictions for thwarting federal law and prioritizing illegal aliens over law-abiding citizens. This needs to end NOW."

Later the same day, he commented on Democratic opposition to Republican-backed legislation: "This is the real reason why Democrats have spent so much time fear mongering about our One Big Beautiful Bill: They don't want you to know they voted for the largest tax increase on working families in American history. House Republicans would never let that happen."

On August 5, 2025, Wied highlighted recent legislative activity: "One month ago, President Trump signed our One Big Beautiful Bill into law and it will deliver REAL results for Wisconsinites."

Wied’s remarks come after his victory in the 2024 general election against Kristin Lyerly with a margin of 57.3% to 42.6%. His statements reflect ongoing debates within Congress about immigration policy and tax reform.
