For the first time, Green Bay Parks, Recreation & Forestry will host "Pooches in the Pool," an event allowing dogs to swim and socialize at Joannes Aquatic Center. The event is scheduled for Saturday, August 23, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at 1430 E Walnut Street.

Larissa O’Malley, City of Green Bay Recreation Coordinator, said, “We’re excited to bring this brand-new event to the community. It’s a fun and unique way to wrap up the pool season while celebrating our four-legged family members.”

To participate, each owner must be at least 18 years old and may bring only one dog. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Dogs are required to have proof of current vaccination at check-in. The number of dogs allowed is capped at 100; early registration is encouraged. Registration can be completed online or by calling (920) 448-3365.

For more information about the event or media inquiries, contact Larissa O’Malley at (920) 448-3071 or Larissa.OMalley@greenbaywi.gov.
