Rep. Tony Wied, who won Wisconsin's 8th congressional district in the 2024 general election, recently highlighted legislative efforts and local celebrations on his social media account. Wied’s posts addressed support for small businesses, recognition of a major sports team anniversary, and advocacy for dairy farmers.

On August 11, 2025, Wied emphasized the importance of tax deductions for small businesses. He wrote: "As a former small business owner, I know firsthand how critical this deduction is to help small businesses level the playing field, ease their financial burden, and allow them to grow. Our One Big Beautiful Bill delivers this huge WIN for Main Street."

Later that day, he acknowledged a milestone for a prominent sports franchise: "Born in 1919, still dominating in 2025. Happy birthday to America’s team! Go pack. " The post refers to the Green Bay Packers’ anniversary.

On August 12, Wied shared his experience at an agricultural event: "Enjoyed speaking at the American Dairy Coalition’s Annual Dairy Farmers Meeting about the huge impact our One Big Beautiful Bill will have on farmers in #WI08 and across the nation. Our farmers are the backbone of our country, and this bill delivers the support and investments"

Wied secured his seat in Congress after defeating Kristin Lyerly in 2024 with 57.3% of the vote compared to Lyerly's 42.6%. As a representative from Wisconsin’s 8th district and former small business owner himself, Wied has focused on issues relevant to both local entrepreneurs and agricultural communities.
