The City of Green Bay is organizing an open house to present the draft Go Big Green Bay 2050 Comprehensive Plan. The event will take place on Wednesday, September 3, from 6:30 to 8:00 PM at the Water Utility Community Room, located at 631 S Adams Street. Spanish interpretation services will be available for attendees.
The open house marks a significant point in a year-long process that included neighborhood planning workshops, pop-up events, and visioning sessions with input from hundreds of residents. According to city officials, this effort aimed to gather diverse perspectives on how Green Bay should develop over the next quarter-century.
"This comprehensive plan truly reflects the voice of our community," said Eric Genrich, Mayor of Green Bay. "We've listened to residents' ideas, concerns, and aspirations, and we're excited to show how their feedback has shaped our vision for Green Bay's future."
At the event, displays will highlight all ten neighborhood districts and five personality areas identified during the planning process. Attendees can review the draft plan at their own pace while enjoying refreshments and activities suitable for children.
The Water Utility Community Room is situated along the Fox River Trail and offers street parking on South Adams Street during the event.
Residents who cannot attend may view the draft plan online at www.gobiggreenbay.com until noon on September 4. Feedback can also be submitted through this website. In addition, a special Planning Commission meeting will be held on Thursday, September 4 at 6:00 PM in City Hall’s Room 604 where the plan will be presented.
The Go Big Green Bay 2050 Comprehensive Plan outlines strategies for land use, transportation systems, housing options, economic growth initiatives, and community facilities for the next twenty-five years.
