The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay will hold its 2025 Convocation on August 27 at The Weidner, located on the university’s campus. The event, themed “Built to Rise,” will begin at 10 a.m. and is set to bring together faculty and staff from all UW-Green Bay campuses.
Chancellor Michael Alexander and Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Kate Burns are scheduled to address attendees. According to the university, their remarks will focus on the institution’s current momentum and recent initiatives designed to serve both students and the broader region in a changing educational environment.
During the convocation, faculty and staff who have made notable contributions over the past year will be recognized with the University’s Founders Awards. The ceremony will also be available via livestream for those unable to attend in person.
The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay enrolls more than 11,000 undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students each year. In addition, it serves approximately 85,000 continuing education learners annually across four campus locations in Northeast Wisconsin.
