The Green Bay Packers will bring their Packers vs. Cancer initiative to a local high school football game on Friday, September 26. The event will take place at Notre Dame Academy in Green Bay, where the Notre Dame Academy Tritons will play against the Menasha High School Bluejays.

Packers players Bo Melton, Karl Brooks, Colby Wooden, and Evan Williams are scheduled to attend the game. They plan to interact with fans and throw autographed foam footballs into the stands after the first quarter.

During the event, the Packers will present donations to both schools involved in the game. Notre Dame Academy plans to give its donation to Ribbon of Hope, while Menasha High School will direct its contribution to the Spierings Cancer Foundation. Community members are invited to attend in person or watch a live broadcast on WACY – TV32.

The Packers vs. Cancer campaign is presented by Emplify Health by Bellin and focuses on raising awareness about all types of cancer, encouraging screenings, and supporting fundraising efforts throughout October. The initiative will also be featured during the October 12 Packers-Bengals game and includes recognition for cancer survivors and those currently battling cancer.

In addition to events at games, fundraising activities continue at the Packers Pro Shop. Fans can buy a special green striped New Era winter knit hat that features both team branding and campaign logos; five dollars from each sale goes directly to the Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation. Shoppers may also choose to add a donation of one dollar or more with any purchase through October. These funds support ongoing research programs led by the foundation.

According to organizers: "Named for the legendary Packers coach, the Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation is dedicated to winning the battle against cancer by funding advancements in cancer research and compassionate care."
