The Algoma Community Band Shanty Days Concert, scheduled for noon on Sunday, August 15, 2021, will be dedicated in memory of three band members who passed away this year: Carolyn Jorgenson, Patti LeBotte, and John Koehn.
Guest conductors will be Jennifer Massey, Algoma School District Band Director and Heidi Hintz, Sturgeon Bay High School Band Director.
Richard Dorner, who played clarinet in the band for nineteen years will be recognized for his many years of dedication and loyalty.
Tom Mueller will be directing his last Algoma Community Band concert. He and his wife Mary want to spend more time with their family. Tom has directed the band for the past nine years. However, both he and Mary plan to continue playing in the band.
This is a concert you don’t want to miss! Lots of music and ‘Fun in the Sun’! Bring your family, friends, and neighbors. Also bring a folding chair or blanket to sit on.
