“President Biden recklessly spent trillions of dollars, helped turbocharge inflation, and maxed out the nation’s credit card. Continuing down this path would put the country in financial ruin, which is why Republicans are fighting to make sure any debt ceiling increase includes sensible reforms that rein in radical spending and tackle inflation. This bill is a step towards achieving this mission and makes one thing clear: if President Biden wants to avoid a debt crisis, he must come to the table and negotiate in good faith to restore some fiscal sanity in this country.”
