On Monday, January 15th, Rep. Mike Gallagher (R-WI) will be teaming up with the U.S. State Department and Outagamie Clerk's office to organize a Passport Acceptance Fair for Northeast Wisconsin residents. The purpose of this event is to simplify the passport application process and make it more accessible to the local community. The fair will take place at the Outagamie County Courthouse – Clerk’s Office from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm CT and does not require appointments.
Rep. Gallagher expressed his motivation behind organizing this fair, stating, "Any American who has dealt with long wait times or delays in obtaining a passport knows how stressful this process can be. By bringing this passport assistance fair to Northeast Wisconsin, it’s my hope we can make getting a passport as seamless as possible. I’m grateful to the State Department for working with us on bringing this event to our community."
During the fair, officials will be available to assist individuals with new passport applications. It is important to note that this event is specifically for new applications and not for passport renewals. For those seeking assistance with renewals, alternative options should be explored. If there are any inquiries or concerns, individuals are encouraged to reach out to Rep. Gallagher's District Office.
To ensure a smooth application process, there are a few essential items that attendees should bring. These include the completed DS-11 Form, which can be filled out using the provided Form Filler tool to minimize errors caused by handwriting. Additionally, a recent color photograph that meets the requirements specified on travel.state.gov is required. Attendees will also need to bring the necessary fees in the form of a check, money order, credit card, or cash. There are two separate fees: an "execution fee" payable to the facility and an "application fee" payable to the U.S. Department of State.
Parents or guardians applying for passports for children under the age of 16 must appear in person with two parents or guardians using Form DS-11. In cases where only one parent can be present and there is no sole custody, the "Statement of Consent for Issuing a Passport to a Child" can be utilized.
For any pre-application questions or concerns, individuals can contact the Outagamie County Clerk of Circuit Courts at 920-832-4571.
The fair, titled "Rep. Gallagher Partners with the U.S. State Department to Host a Passport Acceptance Fair," will be held at the Outagamie County Clerk of Circuit Courts located at 320 S. Walnut St., Appleton, WI, 54911.
This event presents a valuable opportunity for Northeast Wisconsin residents to obtain passports conveniently and effectively. By collaborating with the U.S. State Department and the Outagamie Clerk's office, Rep. Gallagher aims to alleviate the stress and challenges often associated with the passport application process.
