The Wisconsin Department of Revenue has introduced updates to several forms for license holders, specifically those businesses involved in the sale of tobacco or alcohol. In addition, the department has broadened the requirements for temporary liquor licenses, colloquially known as "picnic" licenses.

Temporary licenses are granted to non-profit organizations such as places of worship, bona fide clubs, and chambers of commerce who host events where beer and/or wine are served. Current holders of liquor licenses are not eligible for these temporary permits.

The revised forms for temporary licenses now require details about the organization's directors and an appointed agent responsible for managing the alcohol-related aspects of the event. Additionally, applications must be submitted at least 15 days prior to the event.

The Green Bay Clerk's office has disseminated information packets to organizations that frequently apply for a temporary license. Further information and forms can be found on their website https://www.greenbaywi.gov/230/Picnic-Permit.

For any queries, individuals can contact the office via email at clerk@greenbaywi.gov or by phone at 920-448-3010.
