Green Bay Mayor Eric Genrich, Forward Together Wisconsin President Mandela Barnes, Wisconsin Conservation Voters Deputy Director Seth Hoffmeister, and Alex Galt, the City of Green Bay’s Clean Energy Connector, will host a press conference on Tuesday, June 18th at 1:00 pm CT. The event aims to highlight their coordinated efforts to educate Green Bay residents on the residential clean energy benefits available under the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA).

The IRA, passed by Congress and signed into law by President Biden, allows consumers to make significant home purchases such as solar panels, electric appliances, and energy efficiency measures with substantial cost savings.

Canvassers working on behalf of the City of Green Bay, Forward Together Wisconsin, and Wisconsin Conservation Voters will be going door-to-door to help individuals, nonprofits, and businesses understand and leverage these opportunities provided by the IRA.

Speakers at the press conference will discuss how the IRA’s investments can lead to real savings for residents and businesses while protecting the environment and making Green Bay’s climate goals more achievable.
