The Green Bay Public Works Department has announced a temporary change to the operating schedule of the Ray Nitschke Memorial Bridge, located at Dousman and Main Streets. This adjustment is necessary for preventative maintenance activities.

From July 22, 2024, through August 9, 2024, mariners must provide a two-hour advance notice for bridge operation directly to the Bridge Tender. The schedule will be in effect between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Motorists should note that the bridge will remain open to vehicular traffic during this period, but single-lane closures may cause delays. These closures will occur along Main Street from North Broadway to North Washington Street.

No detour will be posted; however, access to residences and businesses will be maintained. All lane and work operations are weather-dependent and subject to change. Motorists are advised to anticipate potential back-ups, exercise caution while driving through the work zone, and consider alternate routes.
