The Green Bay Metro Fire Department, in partnership with Brown County Public Health, has launched a new Mobile Integrated Health (MIH) Division aimed at enhancing community health services. The MIH Division represents an evolving model of community-based healthcare, focusing on improving patient outcomes, reducing healthcare costs, and utilizing EMS providers to address healthcare challenges within the community.
The MIH Division will be staffed by two full-time paramedics who will develop programs to assist patients with various needs, including high-frequency 9-1-1 user intervention, chronic disease management, and wellness checks.
