Special Voting Deputies to visit Green Bay care facilities for elections

Beginning the week of July 22, Special Voting Deputies will visit Green Bay’s nine care facilities to facilitate voting. The City of Green Bay aims to ensure that every eligible voter, including those residing in nursing homes, can cast a ballot.

Green Bay Clerk Celestine Jeffreys has been in communication with designated care facility staff members to register eligible voters and receive their absentee ballot request forms. She provides residents with information and an official notice of the Special Voting Deputy visit.

The nine facilities in Green Bay are:

- Dimensions, 246 Berger St—ward 18

- Bayshore, 3150 Gershwin—ward 4

- Cottonwood Manor, 1450 S. Military—ward 42

- Cross Roads West, 1760 Shawano—ward 40

- Edenbrook, 2961 St. Anthony—ward 20

- Grancare (assisted living/nursing home), 1555/1551 Dousman—ward 39

- Marla Vista, 1006 N. Military—ward 37

- Moraine Ridge, 2929/2919 St. Anthony—ward 20

- Oak Park Place, 421 Erie Road—ward 6

Family members of care facility residents may be present when their loved ones are voting. For the date and time of the visit, please check the website: https://greenbaywi.gov/1269/Election-Notices.

Observers from the two political parties may be present but need to inform the clerk via email by the day before the visit at 4:30 pm.
