The Green Bay Packers have signed defensive lineman Kenny Clark to a contract extension. General Manager Brian Gutekunst announced the transaction on Sunday.
Clark, originally selected by the Packers in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft (No. 27 overall) out of UCLA, has recorded 34 sacks so far in his career, surpassing DE Vonnie Holiday and LB Nick Perry (32) for No. 10 and LB Bryce Paup (32½) for No. 9 on Green Bay's all-time list since 1982. From 2017-2023, his 34 sacks ranked second on the team (behind LB Preston Smith's 41½), and his seven forced fumbles led the Packers during that period. Clark's five career postseason sacks rank fourth in team history since 1982 and sixth in the NFL from 2019-2023. He has led or tied for the lead among defensive linemen in tackles in seven of his eight years with the Packers.
In 2023, Clark produced the third Pro Bowl season of his career, highlighted by a career-best 7½ sacks (third on the team), a team-high nine tackles for loss, three passes defensed (tied career high from 2018), 16 QB hits (third on the team), and 50 NextGenStat QB pressures (second on the team). He joined Henry Jordan as one of only two Packers defensive tackles to make three or more Pro Bowls.
Overall, Clark has played in 123 regular-season games with 109 starts, registering a total of 460 tackles (255 solo), seven forced fumbles, six fumble recoveries, and nine passes defensed. In postseason play, he has started seven out of ten contests he participated in, recording forty tackles (24 solo), six tackles for loss, ten QB hits, and five sacks.
