The Green Bay Packers and UScellular have partnered for the Leap for Learning program, aiming to provide a Wisconsin K-12 school with a $20,000 technology makeover to enhance Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) education opportunities.
Technology plays a crucial role in the educational experience by offering students easy access to information, accelerated learning, and engaging activities to reinforce their knowledge.
Starting September 9, educators, administrators, and parents can nominate a Wisconsin-based K-12 school online at packers.com/LeapForLearning. Nominations must include a brief summary explaining why the school deserves the technology makeover and how it would benefit the students. The nomination period ends on October 20. A panel of judges will review all submissions and select one winner.
"We are proud to once again join UScellular for the Leap for Learning program to help a Wisconsin K-12 school receive a much-needed technology makeover," said Packers vice president of sales and business development Craig Benzel. "It's important to the Packers to support youth and education throughout Wisconsin and ensure students have access to the resources they need to learn and grow."
Since 2009, UScellular has invested over $47 million in monetary donations, technology resources, and various experiences for nonprofit organizations nationwide. More information about UScellular's corporate social responsibility initiatives is available at newsroom.uscellular.com/community.
"Educational opportunities based around technology are critical for students to grow and thrive, not just academically but socially and emotionally as well," said Christine Paulsen, director of sales for UScellular in Wisconsin and Northern Illinois.
