As of September 27, the City of Green Bay will no longer sell 2024 dog or cat licenses. This measure allows the Clerk’s staff to reconcile the accounts and tags.

Green Bay residents who possess a 2024 dog or cat license will receive a 2025 license renewal letter from the Clerk in late November.

The 2025 dog and cat licenses will be available starting December 1.

Residents may obtain a 2025 dog or cat license from home by visiting www.greenbaywi.gov/1265/Animal-Licenses, downloading and completing the application. The completed application, along with a copy of the pet’s current rabies certificate and appropriate payment (checks only), should then be mailed. The fee is $15 for a spayed or neutered cat or dog, and $30 for an intact cat or dog.
