The Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame Inc. will commemorate Vince Lombardi with a new bust installation at Lombardi Middle School on Wednesday. This event is part of the Hall's Legacy Series, which honors Packers Hall of Famers in educational settings, sharing their stories with students and the community.

Lombardi, one of the most successful coaches in NFL history, led the Packers to five NFL championships and victories in Super Bowls I and II during his nine-season tenure. The NFL's championship trophy is named after him.

The Legacy Series aims to advance the mission of the Packers Hall of Fame Inc., serving as an educational resource by highlighting the achievements of notable figures associated with the team. Last year, a bust of Curly Lambeau was placed at Green Bay East High School.

The unveiling ceremony for Lombardi's bust will take place at Lombardi Middle School on Wednesday, Sept. 25, at 3:45 p.m., in front of the school's auditorium. Former players Dave Robinson and Marv Fleming will join Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame Inc. President Don Sipes and Lombardi Middle School Principal Seth Meinel for the event. Media are invited to attend and are asked to enter through the main entrance.

The Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame Inc., an independent nonprofit organization, operates as a historic sports venue and educational resource for both the Green Bay community and Wisconsin state. The organization funds its activities through events like its annual Induction Banquet and Golf Classic, helping preserve Packers history and expand its archives. Donations of memorabilia to the Hall may be tax-deductible.

Established in 1967 as a temporary display at Brown County Veterans Memorial Arena, the Packers Hall of Fame moved to its own facility near Lambeau Field in 1976. It relocated to Lambeau Field Atrium's lower level in 2003 before reopening on its main floor after renovations in August 2015. More information can be found at packershalloffame.com.
